Lakshmana jeyam brings punniyam

All people know chanting the name of sri ram will bring good things .Also there is lakshmana who silently sacrificed many things for lord sri ram.

Sage agasthiar came to bless lord sri ram and all of his family during the pattabisega ceremony. He revealed sri lakshmana jeyam is also equally important as he killed meganathan son of ravanan who got 3 boons from lord brahma where a person who didn't sleep for a second during 14 years, had not looked at any women, who had not taken food for 14 long years can only kill him. Lakshman did the 3 things needed for killing meganathan.
