A murugan temple in madurai is very ancient as it is built in 7 th century.In palani, murugan is decorated in different ways in different timings. Raja alangaram is  one such thing as even in palani, murugan can be seen in in raja alangaram for some hours only.

Lord murugan can be seen in raja alangaram as devotees like to see him in this decorated position every time as this is the one which gives so much weath for them.Married Couples who are  praying for a child come here and tie a knot for observing fasting in house for the remaining days during shasti for getting a child.During six days of shasti, milk abhisegam is conducted by the devotees who are praying for a child.Kalabairavar worship was conducted on sunday and during theipirai ashtami.


This temple is situated on the way to madurai meenakshi amman temple from madurai bus stand.
