Sri Bairaveswarar Temple - Cholapuram


There is a main temple for all bairavar temples situated in cholapuram near kumbakonam. This is the place where 64 bairavar  had originated. This is also called as maha bairaveswarar.Siddhars had worshipped lord mahabairaveswarar from ancient times.People worship lord maha bairaveswarar on saturday, sunday, full moon days and theipirai ashtami by lighting ghee lamps.
