Murugan Temple - Kumarakottam


Murugan temple having lord murugan under umbrella of snakes is very rare.Such a temple can be found in kumarakottam in kanchipuram.

Speciality :

Five head snakes cover lord murugan like a umbrella here and sri valli and deivanai has three head snakes above their head.This is the place where kanthapuranam has originated.This temple is a mukthi sthalam. People who are affected by naga dosha worship here for getting a remedy.Devotees who worship lord muruga get the benefits of lord siva, bramma and vishnu.

This temple is situated in raja veethi in kanchipuram in middle of the town.
