Married couples come here on amavasai, take bath and come around amman 11 times and worship amman with food materials made of butter and eat it for 48 days. After fulfillment of prayers devotees provide new clothes for lord siva and amman while performing abhisegam.

This temple is situated at a distance of 15 kms from cuddalorein a place called thirumaanikuli.Banrutti buses via balur will go to this temple.
