Ramanathar temple - Rudra Homam

People in this world sometimes are forced by external situations to do things differently that may affect other people in society in a direct way or indirect way.Due to this they are affected by severe external or internal situations which are the cause for not being honest in their past and present life.

People who want peaceful life can pray to lord siva and amman sarivarkulali in a place called thirukannapuram in thiruvarur district of tamilnadu.This temple is said to be more than 1000 years old.

People worship lord siva and amman by doing rudra homam to get relieved from the external problems for living a peaceful life.Married Women worship amman specially for normal birth of  children.During punarpoosa star special pooja is conducted for lord siva as lord sri rama had worshipped him here.Kasi Bairavar here is said to be installed by sage agasthiar as his idol also can be seen here.

One has to travel from thiruvarur to reach a place called channanallur which is 13 kms away.From there one has to travel thirupugalur which is 11 kms away.From there one has to travel 2 kms to reach this temple.
