Women who have female children who had not attended the qualification for marriage come here and worship lord siva and sornambigai amman. Female Children are asked to take bath in this temple on monday and have to light lamps for lord siva and amman to get the problem solved.

One has to travel 10 kms to a place called valangaimaan in kumbakonam to mannarkudi route.From there on east side one has to travel 3 kms to reach this temple.
