Oondreeswarar Temple - for curing eye problems

Good Eye sight  is important  for everyone and wearing special glasses as prescribed by doctors for eye problems is common nowadays.one cannot ignore eye problem and several eye hospitals offer special treatments for eye problems.Food plays an important factor and intake of foods, fruits and vegetables reduce the possibility of eye problems.

People  who are facing eye problems can visit a temple called oondreeswarar temple situated in a place called poondi in thiruvallur district.This temple is said to be more than 1000 years old.Amman is called minnoli ambal.

Lord siva here was worshipped by offering vadaimalai during full moon day and amavasai.Kalabairavar here was worshipped specially on ashtami day. Ambal here is so special in giving blessings for the people.People who are having eye problems pray lord siva and ambal for getting cure.This temple is situated at a distance of 12 kms from chennai at a place called poondi.
