Erumbeeswarar Temple - sivasakthi lingam - Ant worship

Lord siva and amman will be rarely seen together in arthanareeswarar form as in tiruchengode.Lord siva mostly in the form of lingam will be in a separate temple.But there is a temple where one can see a sivalingam as  two which is called as sivasakthi lingam indicating sivasakthi are together ever.




People who want luxury life by making fast work as an ant can come and visit this sivasakthi lingam.This temple is called as erumbeeswarar temple and is situated in a place called thiruverumbur.This temple is said to be more than 1000 years old.

Speciality: lingam here is made of sand in the form of a putru.Food offered to lord siva is taken by ants here.Swarna kalabairavar and kajalakshmi here offer blessings for a luxurious life.Amman is called narungulal nayagi as everyday different types of alangaram is performed.This temple is situated at a distance of 10 kms from trichy on the way to thanjavur.

    திருவெறும்பூரில் உள்ள திரு எறும்பேஸ்வரர் கோயில் மலையை நானும் பல்லாண்டுகள் தினமும் தரிஸித்துள்ளேன். 2-3 முறை மலையேறி கோயிலுக்குச்சென்றும் வழிபட்டு வந்துள்ளேன்.

    என் திருச்சி பற்றிய பதிவு ஒன்றிலும் இந்தக்கோயிலைப்பற்றி கொஞ்சம் எழுதியுள்ளேன்.
