Satchinathar Temple - For curing skin diseases

Due to pollution in global environment occurrence of diseases have increased and people in this world suffer by new diseases every year even though new medicines are discovered for controlling them.New medicines cost so much and also produce side effects. One of the problems that occur in common is skin disease due to sanitation problems.

A siva temple called satchinathar temple situated in a place called avanivanalur in thanjavur district serves a a good place to get remedy for those people who are affected by skin diseases.Lord siva here is called satchinathar and amman is called saundara nayagi.The temple is said to be more than 1000 years old.

People take bath in tamil month of thai in chandra puskarani theertham to get cure from skin diseases.This temple is situated at a distance of 20 kms from kumbakonam to reach a place called ammapettai and from there one has to travel 6 kms in north direction to reach this temple.
