Arunajadeswarar Temple - For nagakanni dosha

Usually temples like kalahasthi, keelperumpallam, thirunageswaram are worshipped by people who are affected by kalasarpha dosha, naga dosha and sarpha dosha.There is a main difference between these temples and arunajadeswarar temple situated in a place called thirupananthal in thanjavur district.

Kalahasthi, thirunageswaram and keelperumpallam are temples worshipped by male snake.In Arunajadesarar temple, a female snake had worshipped lord shiva and amman. People who are affected by nagakanni dosha especially females come here and  worship the lord to get remedy from nagakanni dosha.

This temple is situated on the way to chennai from kumbakonam at a distance of 15 kms.Amman here is called as periyanayagi and this temple is said to be more than 1000 years old.
