People who want their wishes and prayers for a good thing can visit a temple called vaigalnathar temple in a place called thiruvaigal in nagapattinam district.The temple is said to be more than 1000 years old.This is one of the three temples in this place as they are said to be lord siva's three eyes.

This temple is situated at a distance of 18 kms from kumbakonam to karaikal.On this route, a place called palinchanallur kuttakarai is there.From there one has to travel 1 km in north direction.
