Utthavedeeswarar Temple - Get love marriage with parents blessings

 In today's modern world love marriage is increasing. Due to improper planning of future life, youngsters who fall in love doesn't have the courage to tell their parents about their  wedding plans.Due to this youngsters who are in love  get their curse of their parents when they marry secretly.To avoid and get marriage with their loved one's  with parents blessings, there is a temple called utthaveddesawarar temple for worship.

The temple is situated in kuttalam of nagapattinam district on the way to thirumanancheri from mayiladuthurai at a distance of 10 kms in west direction.The temple is said to be more than 1000 years old.

Speciality of the temple is that lord siva himself had married goddess parvathi at this place with the blessings of goddess parvathis parents as requested by her.People who are having obstacles in getting married can worship lord siva as this temple is a parigara sthalam.Lord siva himself had left his foot as an evidence for the marriage that had taken place between him and goddess parvathi and now also anyone can see them along with  utthala tree that had given shadow to lord siva from kailayam.
