Vaalai thottathu ayyan kovil - Remedy for snake bite

  People who are working near forest or doing agriculture often see snakes in their land and sometimes got bite that lead to death or serious injury to the victim.For all those people who are affected or working in agricultural field there is a temple called vaalai thottathu ayyan kovil.

The temple is situated in karuthampatti in coimbatore district.On the way of avinashi to coimbatore one has to go a place  called karumathampatti and from there one has to go 8 kms to reach the temple.

The soil from putru of this temple was taken by the devotees to protect them from snake bite.It is said the soil of putru never dips in voulme even if large amount of it is taken by  the people for their well being.
