Virutcha shasthra - Mars dasa - Mercury bhukti remedies

   In mars dasa, mercury bhukti is the fifth sub period. During this period according to virutcha shastra one has to plant mantharai maram (Bauhinia purpurea) to avoid the bad effects of mars if it is placed in unfavourable houses in one's astrological chart. It is called மந்தாரை in tamil.The plant should be planted in public places, temples or in garden

Before a day of plantation, little bit of green gram should be immersed in water.The plant should be planted in morning during the first wednesday of mars dasa mercury bhukti period . After plantation green gram water should be served to the plant. The green gram should be given to goat or cow.
