Sage agathiyar has instructed all people to buy a half meter of  golden cloth and after dipping it in turmeric one has to put 9 vetrilai leaves with paakku . Above it one nava thanyam should be placed in above vetrilai leaf. Above it lamps filled with illupai oil should be lighted . Like this for 9 navagrahas 9 lamps should be lighted with respective nava thanyams. Navagraga gayathri for each planet should be recited 108 times .This has to be continued for 6 months .  This will bring punniyam.
