Ketu affects people when it is placed mostly in 1,2,4,5,7,8 as they are related one's self, family, education, children and  life time.Generally people who are having ketu placed in unfavourable places struggle in life as there will be more teachings for detachment from this world as ketu is a gnanakaraga.

People who are affected by ketu dosha can visit a temple called parijathavaneswarar temple situated in a place called thirukalar in thiruvarur district. This temple is said to be more than 1000 years old.

Speciality: 

People worship lord muruga here for getting excellent benefits in education as he is in guru form.People worship lord siva and amman  for the removal of ketu dosha and offer new clothes for pooja after fulfillment of their wishes.Amman is called as amirthavalli.

This temple is situated at a distance of 21 kms from mannarkudi on the way to thiruthuraipoondi.
