Kutralanathar Temple - Jack Fruits in form of a lingam


Psychological problems occur in every human being's life.Difference is the amount of problem that one is facing and his reaction to a problem. This type of problems make worse situations in one's life if it is not properly treated.Mental disorder is the common thing due to the result of severe psychological problems.

People who are affected by mental disorders can visit a temple called kutralanathar in a place called kutralam in thirunelveli district.This temple is said to be more than 1000 years old.

Speciality: Kutralanathar temple is one of the 64 places where lord siva had created many events and this place is parasakthi peedam.Jack fruits inside jack in this temple are in form of a lingam. Lord siva's images are created on the way of kutralam waterfalls.Taking bath in this waterfalls removes mental disorders and skin diseases.Thaila prasadam is also special here as it is a remedy for headache.It is made of 42 herbs and daily fresh herbs are offered to lord siva in the morning.In the evening another herbal pooja is conducted which is called kadukkai kashayam.sri chakra peedam is also found as godess parasakthi is also residing here.Navasakthi pooja is conducted on full moon day here. 

Amman is called kulalvaimoli nayagi.This temple is said to be perumal temple and later changed to siva temple by sage agasthiar as per the instructions of lord siva .Sage agasthiar temple is also here.This temple is situated at a distance of 5 kms from thenkasi.
