A temple called sivanantheswarar temple situated in a place called thirupandurai in thanjavur district is worshipped by people who lost their speaking ability.The temple is said to be more than 1000 years old.

People who lost their ability to speak take bath in mangala shrine and offer honey abishegam for lord muruga and archanai to lord shiva.This temple is situated at a distance of 12 kms from kumbakonam on the way to mayiladuthurai via eravancheri.
