For couples who are longing for child for a long time, they can visit a temple called sangaranyeswarar temple which is constructed in format of sangu(horn).It is situated in a place called thalaichangadu in nagapattinam district.Little bit of santhanam(yellow paste) is given from amman's idol during full moon day to women who are praying for a child.

The temple is situated at a distance of 22 kms from mayiladuthurai in east direction and 8 kms from thirukadayur in north direction.
