Ganjendra Varadhan temple - Pancha Krishna Shetram

Lord krishna has 5 temples which are specially called as Pancha krishna Shetram which include thirukannamangai, thirukannapuram, kabisthalam, thirukovilur and thirukannankudi.A temple situated in kabisthalam in thanjavur district of tamilnadu is one of them as it has the speciality of getting blessings very easily as lord perumal has blessed an elephant here.

Speciality:

Lord perumal is called as Gajandra Varadhan and amman is called Ramamanivalli.Devotees pray to lord perumal for self protection from all evil things and offer thirumanjanam and new clothes after fulfillment of prayers.This is the only temple in 108 tirupathi where lord perumal had blessed animals like elephant.

This temple is situated at a distance of 10 kms from kumbakonam on the way to thiruvayaru.
