Music in in every thing in this world.Music is a form of sound that is made of  raga in a disciplined way.Everywhere there is a musician who is so famous for his music according to the culture, language and people of  the region.Even in a country or state there will be hundreds of musicians in same time period.But those who attain stardom is very few.

There is a temple for musicians to worship lord siva in the for of dakshinamurthy playing an instrument called veena.This temple is situated in a place called thirupatrurai in trichy district.This temple is said to be more than 1000 years old.

Speciality : People who are losing their child after child birth come and worship lord siva and amman nithya kalyani for another child who is having long life by offering yellow cloth during full moon day. Newly married couples come and worship lord siva and amman for getting a good child with a long life.

This temple is situated at a distance of 12 kms from trichy on the way to thiruvanaikaval via kallanai near a place called Panayapuram.From panayapuram one has to travel 1 kmto reach this temple.There is no direct bus service to this temple.
