Vedapureeswarar Temple - For Unmarried People

Due to unfavourable dasa or bhukthi marriage of several people does not happen at the right time.As young people prefer people of the same age as their partner, people who cross 30 years become worried.

Unmarried people who want to get married at the right age can go and worship lord siva which is  situated in a place called thiruvedikudi.Lord siva is called as vedapureeswarar who was worshipped by Bramma.Lord dhakshinamoorthy was specially worshipped by children as 4 vedas worshipped lord dhakshinamoorthy here.This temple is said to be more than 1000 years old.

Unmarried women worship ambigai by offering saree and yellow knot to get married soon.Ambigai is called as mangayarkarasi.This temple is situated at a distanceof 3 kms from a place called kandiyur.Kandiyur is located at a distance of 11 kms from thanjavur on the way to thiruvayaru.This is a remote place and  from kandiyur buses are available only in particular timings.
